Hello, I’m Sara!

I am a children's book author, a wife, a mom of three, and someone who believes that a little imagination can turn an ordinary day into an extraordinary adventure.

I've always believed that the best children's books offer more than memorable stories. They introduce us to characters who feel like friends—characters we laugh with, cheer for, and carry in our hearts long after we've turned the final page.

When I first imagined Posey's Dream House, it wasn't the story that came to me. It was Posey herself.

I pictured a spirited, slightly sassy little girl who was brave, independent, and fiercely devoted to her family. I knew who she was long before I knew where her adventures would take her. And once I understood Posey, her story seemed to unfold naturally.

That experience reminded me of something I love about storytelling: sometimes the most wonderful adventures begin not with a place or an idea, but with a character waiting to be discovered.

When I'm not writing, you'll usually find me spending time with my family, cheering on my kids, or finding inspiration in the little moments of everyday life.

I'm so glad you're here. I hope you'll come to love Posey as much as I do—and that she'll be the first of many characters we get to meet together.
